So why is MESA 9.1 still MESA 9.1 and not MESA 10.0 ?

OpenGL bump - present? YES.

So all requirement for bumping major number are satisfied!

The plan is to only increase the major version for new "desktop" GL versions.

Mesa 10 will be released when OpenGL 3.3 is reached. For our luck OpenGL 3.3 = DX 10 so...

Still boggles my mind that Haswell will only get support for OpenGL 4.0, even with their proprietary driver. And to think they initially wanted to support only 3.3 for Haswell. Intel needs to support 4.3 for Haswell.

That is UNFAIR :P

And MESA is starting to be "mobile first" too!

Not increasing major number of MESA with each new OpenGL ES will only increase confusion.
