Welcome to 2013. You can write native applications that can target every desktop OS, every mobile device, and they are native, the interface is written like javascript, and it's name is qt. I'm hoping there is a boom in C++ from this (mainly because I'm most experienced in C++, and a lot of the features of C++11 {smart pointers, lambdas, atomics} make it a lot more productive than Java / C# for me)

But it's LGPL, obviously missing the important fact you can use it in proprietary software even though you have to release changes, so his entire argument is invalid, Digia is evil, and Gnome is the only real anything ever.
