Canonical's Bazaar Still In Stagnant State

From the main oss projects out there it seems only grub uses bzr. I would prefer when every project would use git.

This article has nothing to do with the any kernel, nothing to do with graphics drivers, mesa, OpenGL, games, audio, networking, filesystems... NONE OF IT.

The only reason this article exists is because he probably found himself surprised by the fact that Canonical seems to be moving so quickly with Mir as they are, and he even wrote an article about that very thing earlier today, only to finish off the article with saying that it couldn't possibly work anyway for no particular reason. And now, in order to save his face and insist that Canonical never finishes anything, he pulls up a project that is actually complete and needs no further maintenance, and which has really been replaced by Git in most respects anyway, and tries to use that as a justification for his viewpoint.

It's okay to criticize Canonical, but this isn't critique. This is slander.

EDIT: And I find it incredibly hypocritical coming from the guy who cried foul for Canonical slandering Wayland. It's one thing to be clueless, it's a completely different thing to be a deliberate hypocrite.

You must be kidding. I can only repeat the numbers, Bazaar has currently 2081 open bugs, 212 of them are marked as high importance bugs. No maintenance needed? I don't think so.

Ishayu what the hell is your problem?? This isn't slander, check launchpad's own page for bzr, its been basically abandoned. Bugs arent being fixed, thats abandoned.

For a stagnant project bazaar is quite stable. And for the record because it has simple interface, is stable and cross-platform it's quite popular among scientists. Although nowadays git and mercurial are also getting quite popular in the community.

If it were really so great why is there no bzrhub or support for it on sites like bitbucket or sourceforge. The reason is its terrible but since Canonical are so full of themselves they refuse to admit one of their baby's is a piece of crap. Heck there are many new projects that have choosen SVN over BZR. Just look at Upstart for another great example. By the end of this they'll be using every part of systemd aside from the systemd binary because they are too full of themselves to admin that upstart has failed.

Upstart didn't fail anything moron. Upstart was started and completed before systemd was even dreamed of. You probably hate canonical just because you heard some 'community' hates them and didn't want to feel left behind.

upstart was there years before systemd. And it has been working great so far.

Is Git the best revision system ever?
Or is it just famous because Linus wrote it and Linux use it?
