Cleanse phoronix of the filth: Remove all things bsd from here

To clean a forum from filth you usually take the haters out, not the sane people. But let's not be delusioned, those haters just come here to troll for no good reason and michael benefits from them.
So nothing will happen. think about what it actually says about the quality of a forum (and the mindset of some of the members) that there exists a thread that asks for the a new account of someone banned multiple times already to be banned also and not only nothing happens (not even one response of a moderator), but some people even ask to remove the topics that this troll is using to promote his self-esteem. Next time someone punches you in the face please remove your head, so that it won't happen again, same logic.

BSD threads on this forum will have the same future than antiBSD trolls have on this forum: nothing will happen, moderation doesn't exist anyways, so just forget it and spew your hate somewhere else, where people might be believe it actually.

Phoronix would be a far better place, if whole BSD forum tree is removed and you BSD trolls are permbanned. This includes DanL, who already created 3 ban threads (asdx, systemd and Qaridarium) and will sure spawn more.

We differ in that I am okay for others to have other point of view.
Specifically, the whole BSD topic is correct - those who prefer BSD over GPL to degree they replace working components with equivalents but another license, prove the point they are latent proprietary supporters.
They are not free / libre software supporters, not in single degree.

I am ok with that, but when they start post bullcrap about how limiting GPL is, they have to expect counter punch in the face in form of systemd etc.

I don't consider guy who is essentially trolling back to be breaking any rules, but consider him to be extension of original rule breakage which is tracked to BSD trolls.

If the root of the problem is not banned, newer and newer "please ban XXXX" will emerge.

But following your logic, aren't you making yourself a whore with supporting a distribution, if only with using it, with essential parts licensed under BSD or other permissive "proprietary whore" licenses? Or is that just your normal double standard? Well, you could switch to a free/libre distribution, approved by the FSF, and remove those permissive licensed parts, but you would have a hard time posting your bullshit here.

If I could add my $0.02, I don't think that degredation of debate should be a bannable offence.
However, personal attacks, profanity, slander and impersonating other's usernames would be considered grounds to do so, especially for the latter.

GPL has preserved the freedom of countless numbers of developers, users and software and it has spawned businesses based on free and open source software and millions of high quality, reliable free and open software freely downloadable from the internet with low or no cost and with no DRMs and BDSM user agreements.

Linux (which is GPL licensed) has help create many free operating systems then could be downloaded at no cost. And they outperform the ones put out by M$ and Apple which you have to pay huge to get from somthing that comes with DRMs, spyware, survillance and an agreement that you are under bondage to them.

BSD in constract has contributed to the rise of tyrannical mosters such as M$ and Apple who create software to put their uses under bondage, proliferating DRMs and are now trying to lock down hardware so only thier products and proprietary software can run on it. As a matter of fact:

1. BSD is responsible for Apple's rise and behaviour
2. BSD is responsible for Microsoft rise and behaviour (They gave their TCP/IP)
3. BSD is responsible for DRMs
4. BSD is responsible for binary blobs
5. BSD is responsible for Windows 8
6. BSD is responsible for lack of drivers in Linux
7. BSD is responsible for UEFI restricted booting
8. BSD is responsible for millions under bondage to M$ and Apple
9. BSD is responsible for the problems faced by free and open source projects
10. BSD is responsible for holding back free and open source projects

Look at the BSD license, if you place a modification that is GPL or proprietary on BSD licensed code, it becomes GPL or proprietary. GET THAT THROUGH YOUR HEAD.

There are formally BSD licensed code in the GNU tools but GNU licensed modifications have been added which make the entire code GPL (absolutely no BSD)

Exactly, think before writing, follow your own advice. There are many goverment types, those you mentioned is extremely totalitarian and you know what happend to it after war ended and they had no enemy, and hence no bold vector of good/bad to attach crowd to. You are not putting people in prison. Ban means shoot on site; and your own method is similar to Stalin.
