The first thing I thought of when the game was released was Motley Crue.

The list of artists used in the game is available here:
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brütal_...ther_platforms

Motley Crue is in the list The game has a very legitimate list of songs for the genre it draws inspiration from.

Those umlauts even have their own name: >> Metal umlaut <<

Some names are really strange like Queensr˙che.

And then Motörhead wonders why Germans speak their bandname in an unexpected way.

I just noticed they had some black metal parts in the game. I guess I'll buy it (bought about any HIB anyway) and try it with the free driver stack.

That's not quite where I was going with that, but okay.

    Still downloading.

Brutal Legend? Not sure that's considered a puzzle game lol. I only played about 10 mins of it so far, but it's pretty action packed.

I'm damn impressed actually. Besides the fact that, I'm assuming, it's using an older version of SDL as my keyboard media keys won't work (this isn't exactly uncommon though), the game installed through Steam and played flawlessly. And, just in general, the introduction/presentation is as good as I've seen in recent times.

Really glad Double Fine brought this one to Linux, or I may have never got to experience the game.

It's not a puzzle game; it's an RTS.

Is anyone else getting much lower performance than expected from this? I'm on Ubuntu 13.04, with an Nvidia 330M card on the 313.30 driver and 1330x900 res and I'm getting very jerky movement, especially when panning the camera and framerates definitely below 20 fps. Dishonored in Wine ran better than that, with FXAA and everything. :-(

Edit: Oh, and my media keys work in-game no problem.

We had no good gameplay to show you, so please accept these cut scenes instead.

It's not just an RTS. It's a driving brawler action adventure sandbox RTS.

Even then, it's just partially an RTS. The RTS bits apply to only certain points in the game.

Great game. I enjoyed it tremendously. The ending felt a little abrupt, though. Could have fleshed out the story just a little more.

Except for the "extras" menu (visual corruption) it works fine with the Catalyst 13.4 and my old HD5850 in 1920x1080 fullscreen.

If it didn't came via Humble Bundle, I would never have been playing this cool game... (played just the first minutes, yet)
