    Default 7970 and Open Source Drivers on Lubuntu 13.04

    I have two 7970s in crossfire setup and using the catalyst driver I was experiencing lots of crashes so decided to try the open source drivers instead. I'm obviously doing something wrong however because it looks like the system is falling back to software rendering:

    Do you have Glamor installed? That's required for RadeonSI acceleration.

    Nope, I don't see any packages for that. Where do I get it?

    There's a PPA here: https://launchpad.net/~cybjit/+archive/ppa-glamor/ (likely outdated; not sure if it works with newer releases)

    Thanks for the info. I worked through various bits of this but there is so much downgrading and altering of standard packages I've given up in the end. Guess I'll have to wait for October and the next release where it will all work out of the box (with any luck).
