Default Does the report button on posts work?

I started the "Reporting spambots" because the report function didn't work (Michael's PM-box were overstuffed). Now I reported some spammers a week ago. Didn't get any "mailbox full" messages but the spam is still there. I even reported them in the spambot thread too.

I always get a reaction of the mods when using the report button, so I assume that it works.

What spam are you referring to?

    AFAIK the protocol is :

For each new spammer, report one post using the button, then post in the "spambot" thread so other people know that they don't need to report it...

It would be nice if the staff stickied these instructions if that is indeed the way they want to deal with spam. Maybe close this thread and the old thread, and make a new thread with clear instructions in the first post.

If we're making new instructions, my preference would be that all spammers are required to make their first post in the "reporting spambots" thread -- that way we wouldn't have to do anything.
