By the way, is the Firefox PDF reader good yet? Is there any reason at all to use it?
As for its stability and rendering capabilities, it is quite capable of handling most PDF's I have thrown at it. The only recent rendering glitch I have seen recently is a few images sometimes don't always appear.
I was going to say - Mozilla's PDF reader is now pretty damn amazing now. If Shumway can reach that level, that would be great.
not sure about you butt in my case, be it a drivers issue or not, it renders slower than Atril, just as slow as when you scroll up or down on any page. It may not be the pdf viewer's fault, it may be firefox's fault, but slower is slower, Atrill scrolls smoothly where firefox's lags a lot and with 100% cpu usage.
Just for the record, HD6950 with fglrx 13.10, ubuntu 12.04+mate. If any nvidia user could test this on his side...
Aside from that, yeah, it is kind of usefull, at least i dont have the taskbar full of atrill windows while searching for datasheets for a chip or something.
If they can fix that performance issue and overall it works better and faster or at least equal than adobe's then i'm in. Although java script plus flash sounds like a good place to live for security bugs.
I'm trying the plugin on github on an Android tablet but it looks like the porn tubes already have HTML5 video fallback. I tried some sports streaming sites which tend to have shitty flash players and none of them work.
In my book, that's a very good reason NOT to use it.
Tried with Iceweasel 17...
I seem to remember that 1, it didn't work with NoScript on, and 2, it was so slow loading that I was trying to leave the page, having concluded it wouldn't load, before it started to show any content.
So I promptry set the PDF reader back to Xpdf (somehow it had ignored the old settings...)
