Improvement of libbluray is nice, but I'm more interested in decryption. Discs encrypted with AACS can be decrypted using http://www.videolan.org/developers/libaacs.html (+ keys database of course). But what about BD+ (alternative to the AACS)? Few months ago I could read there exists libbdplus, but it can't be released because of some legal reasons. Now I can't find any news about this library.
Does anyone know what has happened to the libbdplus?
I've just found libmmbd. It's a library that provides decryption of both: AACS and BD+ and emulates (provides) the same API as libaacs and (never released) libbdplus. Hooray!
I don't really wan to discuss the purpose of using Blu-Ray discs. Some people buy it because like it, some because they enjoy DTS-HD Master Audio, I don't really focus on the reasons. I just like the idea of Linux supporting that formats/encryptions
