which motherboard asus gigabyte

hi all
im looking at upgrading computer and need help

looking at
asus p5k-e
ga-p35-ds3p


want to play games like c&c 3 and redalert 3 when it comes out

i play my music from computer sending it to a amp in house and outside

any ideas on what sort of board

are these good boards for this

any help would be great

Well, you need good CPU/GPU to play games, and I don't think it has much to do with your music needs. But I would go with the Gigabyte board in this case, it is really great!

I'd second the Gigabyte. I've just built a new system with a GA-X38-DS5 and I'm quite impressed with it. I've only ever used Gigabyte and ASUS boards in computers that I've built, so I'd consider either of them to be okay.

i like the asus p5k for overclocking but the gigabyte holds its own pretty well. both have less than stellar tech support but i think that is true for most mobo manufacturers (except DFI possibly) either way they are both great boards so you can't lose if you are choosing between the 2.
