The open-source libCEC library continues to advance in providing better support for the CEC bus in HDMI so that Linux boxes can more easily interact with CEC-enabled A/V devices...

This would be great is GPUs manufacturers would allow us to access CEC bus. This would be much nicer than buying an extra adapter.

Some Intel mainboards do a bit better.
They have a header called "Custom" which has a HDMI_CEC routed to it. http://www.intel.com/support/motherb.../CS-033841.htm
This is a small step forward.
But it would be better when the videocard supports this option like most ARM processors do.

The libCEC support on the Raspberry Pi is great. One remote for the Pi, my Yamaha receiver, and my Panasonic TV (the Yamaha remote tends to have the best buttons).
