Default ATI Mobility FireGL V5250 Open Source Driver

Trying to anable AIXGL on Fedora core 6. I have a working ATI Driver (8.33.06 thanks to this forum) now, but I would like to use the open source (radeon). On my old think pad T42p it woked very well, out of the box. Perhaps FireGL v5250 is too new. If anyone got thinkpad T60p work with AIXGL and Beryl I would be more that happy to hear how.

    Thank you

If I recall correctly, the FireGL V5250 is NOT supported by the open-source Radeon driver.

As a result, you cannot use AIGLX since the fglrx driver doesn't currently support it.

Where can I find more info on open-source Radeon driver? road-map or release dates?

No roadmaps or release dates -- other than generally trying to get new things finished before the next major X releases.

Your best bet for the Radeon information would be: http://dri.freedesktop.org/wiki/ATIRadeon
