    Compiling with LTO

    Could I use link time optimizations when compiling mesa-git now (r600g and swrast, in particular) ? If so, do I need to set specific options other than CFLAGS/CXXFLAGS/LDFLAGS="-flto [...]" ?

      You could use them previously as well (just not as effectively), and afaik the build system won't auto-add lto even if your compiler supports it.

        My build fails when linking libglsl when I use -flto. I thought I would need some configure option to enable megadrivers compilation

          Got it to work. If someone is interested, there are some differences when building with LTO on gcc 4.9. This bug report has the needed information:
