Anyway it's just a rebranded closed-source chromium build with strange features like "tableau" and several new bugs.
There are plenty of such "browsers", including russian ones. They were based on IE in 200x, now they're based on Chromium. IMHO it's pointless to use them...

      What is the licence?
If it?s closed source, why would anyone "rejoice"?

users search suggestions, the right holder in the automatic mode is reported anonymously (without reference to the User) information on the characters entered in the browser address bar, text prompts, select a user and system ID
the right holderautomatically transmitted to and stored on the user's choice, the following categories of information: the program settings, information about applications and extensions added to the program, passwords, bookmarks and browsing history.
User hereby acknowledges and agrees that, when installing the program it will automatically be selected and installed additional components (buttons) for the program, to interact with popular social networks, email services and other instruments
This license agreement may be changed unilaterally by the Rightholder. Notifying users of the changes in the conditions of this License shall be published on: http://legal.yandex.ru/browser_agreement/ . //EDIT: BTW: "without reference to the User" and "a user and system ID" are contradicting each other.

the windows version has kaspersky antivirus built-in so it protects your surfing, i wonder if this version does as i'm not sure kaspersky has a linux antivirus.

Who needs antivirus on Linux. For 7 years never had one.

I couldn't figure out if/how to install adblock, and because of that removed the browser as it's useless without adblock, the built-in alternatives suck.

Kaspersky is completely portable, the official AV livecd is a Linux distribution.

in original its "by turning on the mode of". This mode can be turned off.

By enabling the AwesomeBar functionality..."users search suggestions, the right holder in the automatic mode is reported anonymously (without reference to the User) information on the characters entered in the browser address bar, text prompts, select a user and system ID"...till its turned off.

In case user enables Synchronisation functionality, depending on user choice...."the right holder automatically transmitted to and stored on the user's choice, the following categories of information: the program settings, information about applications and extensions added to the program, passwords, bookmarks and browsing history."
// this is obvious. Passwords are part of stuff that is synced, if one enables password syncing, that is.

yup, they install toolbar to popular social networks.

                    Yeah.

So, what? Typical EULA. BSD license sucks, or what?

                    Ehm, no.
Its "OS type of user's device", "unique ID", and statistics without user reference. The spyware is already built into Chromium, Yandex just routes it to itself instead.
