Is this reason enough to buy one for Phoronix?

IIRC this does not support current Xeon Phi cards, this is a ground work for next gen Xeon Phi. Current one comes with an emulator for testing the offload capabilities. You can get your code ready, but not actual offloading for Xeon Phi. Next gen Xeon Phi has AVX-512 (same as future Xeon) and GCC already understands AVX-512. Finally GCC might be enough and no ICC would be needed.
