It looks a lot better than the Windows 95 I remember with its low-qual fonts and everything in dots making up....everything. It was like looking at a newspaper. Which in of itself actually had a sort of charm.

Anyway, dd is awesome obviously. Except 'real people' want thier USB stick back post-install, at which point they're at a loss as to how to restore it to practical use.

openELEC has been doing dd for ages and it's install has never not worked for me, but having to un'-dd can be a slight issue for above users.

Looking at the code briefly, it seems to be using a python binding to Qt. So perhaps the Gtk theme for Qt is not installed or it is defaulting to the Gtk Raleigh theme.

Who cares anyway, the main thing is that there is an extra radio button labelled "Overwrite device (dd)"

From a quick glance at the wiki, it actually looks like a (Py)Qt4 program.

Then some people should be introduced to GParted.

My suggestion would be to 'recover from dd'-style option in a similar method used to create the image.
