    This shouldn't be a particularly huge deal (work volume wise, that is), given that ubuntu (debian derivative) already has arm64.



    Their argument about arm64 hardware availability is also very curious, because Nexus 9 *is* arm64, and very readily available at your nearest big box electronics store or google play. In fact, Nexus 9 is already even *RUNNING* Ubuntu; http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexu...xus-9-t2985958

    Granted, that setup instruction set isn't an official Ubuntu document, but apparently it works, save for a few glitches due to the early status.... i.e., touchscreen working but borked slightly, bluetooth not quite working as needed (excessive latency for use of Nexus 9's keyboard), and no graphics hardware accel (though nouveau should be possible shortly).

      A nexus9 is probably not very usefull as a build server, integration server or test server, which is the kind of hardware they need.
