That's great news, do we have support for drawing tablets (Wacom/Huyon/Yiynova...) yet? Is there any nice list somewhere over all known compatible devices? (And how well they work?)

Give Canonical some more time. Sooner or later they are going to announce libtupni: It will be Mirs input library and also supported by xorg through xf86-input-libtupni, which will be based on xf86-input-libinput. They will create it to work around the shortcomings of libinput, like needing full mobile support which libinput can't do while libtupni will support it before there has been one line of code written at all. Also it will have a CLA, but ofc. that's nothing you should care or even know about.
