Default Mesa 7.1 Release Candidate 3 Released

Phoronix: Mesa 7.1 Release Candidate 3 Released

Mesa 7.1 Release Candidate 1 was released a month and a half ago, but arriving this afternoon was Mesa 7.1 RC2, which was quickly outdone by Mesa 7.1 RC3. The third release candidate for Mesa 7.1 added in some Makefiles that were missing from the earlier release as well as adding in a new function. Over the past six weeks since Mesa 7.1 RC1, the Mesa repository has had quite a number of changes -- mostly in the areas to do with the ATI R500 (as well as a modest chunk impacting the R300 series) support and the Nouveau and Intel drivers too...

should this new release fix bugs already fixed here: http://www.phoronix.com/scan.php?pag...item&px=NjQ2MA ?

And should it enable full 3d support for RS480?

Yes to both. Well, it depends upon your definition of "full" for the latter. Some high-end games may not run due to slower performance and not *everything* being implemented properly.
