Phoronix: Our Continuous Linux Benchmarking Test Farm Is Partially Back Online

There's still a lot of work ahead in finishing up the new server room / test farm, but some of the systems have been restored in the new rackmount environment and proceeding with their daily (and in some cases per-commit) open-source Linux benchmarking in a fully-automated and standardized fashion...

Looks good! How are the rackmount cases treating you so far? And what are your plans for all the old desktop cases?

They're decent... Then again, not expecting too much out of ~$50 4U cases. But they should work out fine as long as I don't need to open them too often.

In terms of old desktop cases, not sure yet, waiting to hear from few local contacts to see if anyone wants them otherwise likely going to local scrap metal collector sans keeping a few for backups / new desktop systems.

I wish my equipment rooms at home looked this nice.

        Seriously. Very nice looking room.

I want a picture of Mike standing in front on the projector screen, with this image projected

It's not too far off from some of my internal PTS/Phoromatic stuff

You might have neglected one issue. And while it will not bother you for a week or two, the noise of three racks will put you on edge eventually.

Shouldn't be much of an issue given with the same quantity of systems it was surviving for months in a room the quarter the size of the new room.
