    I would like to see faster performance when running using QEMU to run Android in a virtual machine.

      That is your problem... use an x86 android image with accelerator kernel module. Otherwise it will always be slow.

        Yes, I know the ARM image is horribly slow.
        So I used the x86 image and it is still horribly slow.
        So I install Intel HAXM then it is faster, but it is still not all that great.
