DQ965GF, fc6 --> voice recording problem

Hi,

I am unable to record voice through my microphone(mic working) using fedora core 6 installed on

Motherboard: DQ965GF
Soundcard integrated

I can play audio files through my headphone. No issues with playback.

When i give alsa command to get the details,

$ alsamixer
alsamixer: function snd_mixer_load failed: Invalid argument

Help me out..

version: AlsaMixer v1.0.12
OS: Fedora Core 6

I tried working out on a low end PC(386/486), it worked fine.

With 965GF, it does not work.
