ATI released drivers last friday that support Xorg 7.1. nVidia is waiting on what again?

NVIDIA hasn't yet released their new X 7.1 drivers as they are waiting on finishing development of all new features and changes before pushing out a new driver.
They appear to still be at least a few weeks out from release. |

I believe the nvidia drivers that are to support xorg 7.1 are a major release rather than a minor release which is a good reason for them to take a long time. I think the are changing from the 8 searies to the 9 series of the drivers. If the new ati ones were a major release as well, disregard my post

At least nVidia still releases decent drivers for Linux...unlike some *other* company...
