Allen Winter has laid out the road-map for KDE 4.0, including the date for the final release. A subsystem freeze for KDE 4.0 will start on April 1 (that's no joke), followed by a feature freeze on June 1, and release candidates appearing between September 25 and October 22, 2007. Based upon three beta releases for KDE 4.0 and two release candidates, KDE 4.0 should be released on October 23, 2007! Allen had also mentioned that not all of the promised or anticipated features promised for KDE 4...
