Default Upgrading Computer

Ok I need a little help upgrading my computer processor. I currently have this:

Compaq Presario SR1810NX
AMD 3200+ 1.79ghz Sempron Processor
2048 mb of ram
NVIDIA GeForce 6800 XT - 256mb

I use alotof applications like Flash, Adobe and play games ranging from Everquest to SecondLife. I am trying to figure out what kind of processor I can put in this thing. I know i want a dual core, maybe an X2 but im not sure if this thing can handle it. I also want to add a hard drive. So ya. A little assistance please

check if the board is 939 or AM2, if yes then you can go dual-core. 939 only has the x2 4000+ i think, AM2 has the whole range as it is the current socket.

This is a socket A (454), so upgradable options are quite limited.
