I would quite like it, if nVidia updated their Chipset drivers since there a lot of problems with NForce2. My 5.1 sourround sound still doesn't work...

Have you tried ALSA? ALSA has a generic nForce audio driver, and should work great with the nF2 if I recall from past experience.

I'm using alsa, the maximum of channels working is 4. With 6 channels the sound is being interupted in a fast frequency, like 10 times a second. That doesn't sound good
