Default Need help getting fglrx to run on ATI 9250 FC6

Hi,
I am trying to get just simple games like CUBE running on my machine. I found out that the new flgrx doesn't support 9250 anymore, and thats why i cant get it to work. However, the 8.29 version will. How can I get this and install without breaking anything?

The default FC6 radeon driver works okay, but everything is way slow, unplayable, so I was told to get acceleration with flgrx. Is this correct? Any other way to get to work?

Default

The 9250 support was discontinued in 8.28.8.

Cube also has some long-standing issues with the fglrx driver.. Did you try any other games with the default Xorg driver?

Exclamation

Yes, I tried Sauerbraten(Cube 2), which I'm sure is the same issue and Quake Demo which gave the error:

Code:
Loading GL driver 'libGL.so.1' through SDL
TODO: Sys_SetClipboardData
********************
ERROR: SDL_SetVideoMode failed: Couldn't find matching GLX visual
********************
--------------- BSE Shutdown ----------------
---------------------------------------------
WARNING: rvServerScanGUI::Clear() - invalid scanGUI

idRenderSystem::Shutdown()
Sys_Error: SDL_SetVideoMode failed: Couldn't find matching GLX visual
Suggestions on any good games, if I can't get these to work, for my card? I didn't think it was that old
