Phoronix: Intel, Miguel de Icaza Comment On Nokia's Move

Following last week's announcement of Microsoft and Nokia hooking up over Windows Phone 7 for Nokia's future products, left MeeGo in a bad position (along with Qt), but Intel has now commented today that MeeGo is still going strong. Miguel de Icaza has also provided his commentary praising this move by Nokia, yes, really...

Miguel de Icaza is beginning to look more and more like a Microsoft plant.

Icaza is fat troll using and payed by microsoft most (99,9) of the time.
He is not gnome developer, gnome is created by many many hackers.

Next time Mono includes proprietary DRM to linux, he will jump from joy even further.
      This guy is simply nobody.

He IS a microsoft boy. He is not interested in linux, with exception to sabotage it. And get payed for it.

well after that monstrously biased series of comment in that blog post is deadly obvious.

and since microsoft destroyed novell and icaza work there, he is probably buying some love of his new masters.

but well he and the 4 dude using mono should be happy, i think ??? at least until nokia cease to exist in the next months

It's written by Imad Sousou, the Director of Intel Open Source Technology Center. Simply put, Intel and MeeGo will go forward without Intel.

Wasn't it Nokia the one MeeGo will go forward without?

"The 150+ comments in the Phoronix Forums are mostly objections and fears to this Microsoft-Nokia deal."

Uhmm...yeah? That seems pretty irrelevant given that this is a Linux news site. Was there somehow the expectation that it would be different?

Anyway, I suppose if Miguel is interested in pursuing irrelevance with Nokia, more power to him. Maybe this will marginalise the reach of C#? That would be nice.
