Mesa 7.0

Hi there, does anyone has any comparisons or benchmarks regarding the new Mesa 7.0?
Someone mentioned to me that he/she did get massive performance boosts with the new Mesa. Is that realistic? id anyone test this?

I would like to test the new Mesa but unfortunately it requires a newer version of expat which in return would force me to update half of my system to the development branch (Fedora Rawhide).

To things more or less OT:
- the Linux software graphics section of this forum could use a general section (non-Ati/Nvidia/Intel) for general X stuff
- The Mesa homepage needs an update. Quick.
