Default Valve Porting Steam Games To Linux?

Phoronix: Valve Porting Steam Games To Linux?

In a job posting at Valve Software for a Senior Software Engineer, one of the responsibilities is to "port Windows-based games to the Linux platform." Perhaps this means Valve Software is beginning to realize the Linux gaming market and they could be bringing Steam to Linux in order to deliver such games as Half Life 2 and Counter-Strike: Source? The job description isn't much more specific than that. Is this the turn for Linux gaming? Tell us in the Phoronix Forums.

This could be a very big thing, providing it's their current/future AAA titles.

Even if it's not, it'll still have a positive effect. This news is only good news!
