    Browsing the motherboards specifications on Asus or Gigabyte website, all the motherboards are tagged as ACPI 1.0 compliant, or in best case 2.0.

        Since afaik Ubuntu LTS will upgrade to a new version its graphics drivers and kernel every 6 months - it's not really a problem.
