Default Sega Genesis emulator(s)

Recently I've had the urge to play Sonic 2 (or any of the other sonic platform games for that matter), unfortunately I'm not sure where my old sega genesis went, so I'm wondering if there are any good genesis emulators for linux. I know there is the snes equivalent, zsnes. Zsnes is fantastic, works perfectly with my game controller and I've only experienced a minimal amount of bugs, all of which I have reported. If there are no good native emulators for sega genesis, I'm willing to go as far as running one under wine, as long as there is support for gamepads that use joydev and there are no graphical anomolies.

Thanks,
--Scott

Well, I'm sure there's a SEGA Genesis emulator out there for Linux. I'm not sure of the legalities in this forum though.

afaik, emulators are legal and roms are legal so long as you own the rights to use them (which no-one does) or if their copyrights have expired so you are no longer breaching copyright by obtaining, storing or using the rom.

1st post btw...
