Question Vsync / Sync to Vblank - how?

Hello!

AMD & Nvidia let you set global sync to vblank in their driver settings, edit corresponding conf files or use custom commands so graphical apps run smooth, i have trouble doing the same with my 945G laptop with Hardy & newest xorg intel driver.

launching with "__GL_SYNC_TO_VBLANK=1 <appname>" seems to be for nvidia and doesn't work.

i tried setting vsync in DriConf, which resulted in glxgears frames dropping down to 59-ish but still no smoothness in glxgears or in anything else.

help?
