    Is it wrong that I want LXDE to absorb this into the LXQt project. That way Hawaii won't have to remake a lot of aspects about the DE with its compositor so people can test it out and LXQt will have a compositor right out of the box so it can work with Wayland.

      The opposite would be even better so LXQt would gain Wayland, Qt 5 and QtQuick out of the box.
