I definitely like KDE's approach towards making a new lock screen compared to the way Canonical did it. Instead of just trying to make it look pretty, they're actually focusing on SECURITY, the actual PURPOSE of the lock screen. There was an issue with the new Ubuntu (Unity) lock screen that would let users log in without the password.... no excuse for something like that on a Linux OS especially in 2014.
