DRM-Next Gets Ready For The Linux 4.9 Kernel

David Airlie has pulled the remaining DRM driver feature pull requests into DRM-Next, in preparation for the Linux 4.9 merge window opening next week.

The latest changes pulled into DRM-Next today for inclusion in Linux 4.9 are (some of which have been sitting on the mailing list for a while, David Airlie was out of the office the past week):

- The last batch of Radeon/AMDGPU updates that is made up of PowerPlay changes. Already pulled for the DRM-Next this cycle was Southern Islands AMDGPU support (experimental), virtual display support, and other new improvements mostly centered around the AMDGPU DRM code.

- Various fixes for the VirtIO, QXL, and Bochs virtual DRM drivers.

- The Etnaviv changes that include GC3000 series support.

- SunXi DRM fixes for Allwinner display users.

- The Rockchip DRM updates include improvements to PSR (Panel Self Refresh) support as well as improved vblank/flip handling.

- Fixes for TILCDC.

- STI fixes and code cleaning.

- Freedreno's MSM-Next that includes explicit fence-fd support for the submit ioctl and other changes/fixes.

- Various DRM-MISC changes around the core code and some polishing.

The other notable pull requests like the plethora of Intel DRM changes and earlier AMDGPU work was already pulled and covered previously on Phoronix with our Linux 4.9 articles so far. It doesn't appear though that the Nouveau changes for Linux 4.9 have been pulled yet.
