GNOME 3.26 RC2 Released: The Final Step For This Big GNOME Update
GNOME 3.25.92 is available today, marking the last development release before the official GNOME 3.26 debut.
Last minute changes found in this "3.26 RC2" release include:
- The Epiphany web-browser has password manager improvements and password form deletion as well as Meson build option changes.
- The GJS JavaScript package can now be built with Address Sanitizer and Undefined Behavior Sanitizer support.
- GNOME-Bluetooth has been ported to the Meson build system and the Autotools support already has been dropped.
- GNOME-Documents has modernized its Autotools build.
- Minor refinements to the GNOME Shell.
- Libgdata has seen more porting to the newer Google Drive API.
- Keyboard navigation improvements in the Nautilus file manager.
- Various refinements to GNOME Builder.
- Bug fixes throughout many GNOME packages.
- Updated translations for many languages.
- While not making it in time for the official tagging today, the Mutter 3.26 RC2 release has also brought built-in screencast / remote desktop capabilities compatible with both X.Org and Wayland, as covered earlier today.
