The State Of The X.Org GSoC 2016 Projects
This summer there has been two summer projects being worked on under the X.Org Foundation via this year's Google Summer of Code.
The two X.org projects this year have been for a soft double-precision floating-point library using pure GLSL 1.30 and for an APITrace GUI for using a new abstract interface that was developed last year.
Progress reports on the soft floating-point library can be found via this GitHub blog. There hasn't been much of an update on that work since earlier this month when he talked about his first two weeks of coding and falling behind due to other obligations and difficulties with Piglit.
The student working on the APITrace GUI improvements has covered his progress via this blog post. There seems to be some good progress on that front with getting the work done this summer.
