HTTP/2 & HPACK Specifications Approved
The HTTP/2 and HPACK specifications have been formally approved by the IESG.
HTTP2 is based on SPDY and maintains a high level of compatibility with HTTP 1.1, decreases latency, and offers other new features for increased speed. HPACK meanwhile is a specification for header compression with HTTP/2, documented here.
Thew next step now for the HTTP/2 and HPACK specifications is to go to the RFC Editor followed by going through the editorial processes and then be published.
