Insurgency FPS Game Being Ported To Linux, SteamOS
The Insurgency first person shooter game, which started out as a Half-Life 2 mod and evolved into its own game by New World Interactive, is in the process of being ported to Linux.
This Source Engine powered game is self-described as, "Take to the streets for intense close quarters combat, where a team's survival depends upon securing crucial strongholds and destroying enemy supply in this multiplayer and cooperative Source Engine based experience."
Per this development card, the Linux port is in process. Based on the information the port is running but there's issues to deal with including visual artifacts, CSM shadows, various bugs, and supporting SteamOS. The screenshot above was also attached to the development card.
Insurgency sells on Steam for $10~15 USD.
