Intel Sends Its First Batch Of DRM-Next Updates For Linux 4.9

It has been less than one week since the Linux 4.8-rc1 release and already Intel OTC developers have sent in their first batch of updates to DRM-Next for in turn landing with Linux 4.9.

Among the early Intel DRM changes slated for Linux 4.9 are more DDI refactoring, cleaning up of GEM code, various other clean-ups, engine code unification, hotplug plugging when in deep RPM states, prep work for lockless requests/fences, and more.

This early i915 DRM feature update for DRM-Next for in turn Linux 4.9 isn't the most exciting for end-users, but those wanting to learn more can do so via the pull request. Expect more interesting Linux 4.9 Intel feature material in the weeks ahead.
