Wine 1.5.25 Gets Initial Wingdings Font
The Wingdings fonts from Microsoft first came about in 1990 that render letters as a variety of symbols. Wingdings have been around since the Microsoft Windows 3.1 days while now a first version for Wine has emerged.
Other changes to Wine 1.5.25 include:
- Proper cursor support in the Mac driver.
- Fixes for right-to-left support in RichEdit.
- Initial version of a Wingdings font.
- Various bug fixes.

A Phoronix reader has pointed out recently via email that the amount of work on Direct3D 9/10/11 support for Wine has dropped dramatically in past weeks, particularly the contributions from one of the prominent CodeWeavers Direct3D developers is now absent.
