NVIDIA Four-Way 331 Beta Linux GPU Benchmarks

As some extra benchmarks to share today, here are benchmarks of four NVIDIA GeForce 400/500/600 (Fermi and Kepler) graphics cards from the latest NVIDIA 331 Linux driver beta.

Uploaded to OpenBenchmarking.org this morning via the Phoronix Test Suite were benchmarks from four NVIDIA graphics cards running the latest 331.13 Beta driver on Ubuntu Linux: the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460, GeForce GT 520, GeForce GTX 550 Ti, and GeForce GTX 680.

Thanks to many Phoronix readers coming through this week in supporting the Linux 3.12 kernel performance investigation via new Phoronix Premium subscriptions and PayPal tips, I ended up buying a Radeon R9 270X graphics card for Linux benchmarking and a Linux review on Phoronix.

As AMD didn't seem interested in sending out any new of the AMD Radeon Rx 200 series graphics cards to Phoronix in order to provide Linux reviews, I bought the Radeon R9 270X retail for delivering Linux results, thanks to several generous Phoronix readers this week. The Radeon R9 270X is a $199 graphics card based around the "Curacao XT" graphics card. The Radeon R9 270X is clocked at 1000MHz, 1050MHz Boost, and 1400MHz clock speed for its 2GB of GDDR5 video memory.

The AMD Radeon R9 270X is arriving today via Amazon and will begin sharing the R9 270X Linux benchmark results soon as I have some concrete numbers. In preparation for the review, I've been running new NVIDIA GeForce graphics card benchmarks on Linux in the configuration that will be used for the Curacao XT benchmarks.

So far I have benchmarks of the NVIDIA GeForce Fermi/Kepler hardware that I have in my possession, which is sadly just the GeForce GTX 460, GT 520, GTX 550 Ti, and GTX 680 (it's also been rough getting review samples out of NVIDIA, with half of these GPUs even being ones I purchased retail). There will also be several Radeon HD 6000/7000 GPUs for reference in the forthcoming Radeon R9 270X Linux review, but that AMD testing is still ongoing.
