Another Delay Hits Fedora 20's Development
Delays in the Fedora Linux release schedule are hardly a common occurrence and usually happen multiple times for every release. Fedora 20 Alpha was delayed, which in turn offsets all other development milestones, and now Fedora 20 Beta has been delayed to push back everything by an additional week.
Fedora 20 final will now arrive no earlier than 10 December, while originally it was anticipated to arrive in November. Among the bugs causing the delay include installer problems, Apple Mac EFI issues, file-system problems, and the Fedora 20 DVD size exceeding 4.7GB.
The announcement of the Fedora 20 Beta delay came today via the mailing list and we'll be back next week to find out whether another delay will be warranted.
At least Fedora 20 will be home to a lot of great features and Fedora developers prefer quality over shipping a release fast, even though F20 is codenamed after a software bug.
