Intel Revises The Weston RandR Protocol
Earlier in the month an Intel developer published an initial RandR-like protocol for Wayland's Weston. That proposed protocol has now been revised following much feedback from developers.
Quanxian Wang at Intel has published the second version of the proposed RandR protocol for Wayland's Weston compositor. This second revision adds several new RandR options, adds a new callback interface, changes to the original design, and a new --enable-wrandr argument. This new protocol is designed to bring functionality similar to X.Org's Resize and Rotate extension for monitor adjustments and controls to the Weston compositor.
Developers wishing to look at the latest Wayland RandR "WRandR" protocol can find the set of eight new patches on the Wayland mailing list.
