AMD Launches The A10-7800, The 65 Watt Kaveri
AMD this morning has officially announced the A10-7800, the 65 Watt version of their "Kaveri" APU that's a follow-up launch to the A10-7850K that launched earlier in the year.
The A10-7800 is a slightly cut down version of the A10-7850K that's also locked down for hitting the 65W TDP mark and offering an adjustable 45 Watt TDP. There's also now the A8-7600 and A6-7400 APUs.
While AMD was kind enough to send over a review sample in advance of the A10-7800, I don't yet have the Linux results ready due to still settling down from the recent move, etc. I expect to have the A10-7800 Linux benchmarks out in the days ahead and expect the Linux support to be in line with the other Kaveri APUs, which work on both the open and closed-source Linux graphics drivers.
