QEMU 2.2 Released With Its Many Changes
Today is certainly a very exciting day for nearly all Linux users as covered in the Phoronix articles today. The latest good news is for server and virtualization users with the release of the slightly delayed QEMU 2.2.
QEMU 2.2 features ARM/MIPS/PowerPC/pSeries/Freescale/S390/SPARC support improvements, a new TriCore target, support for AVX512 emulation on x86 systems, IOMMU/VT-d emulation for the Q35 machine type, support for booting a bzImage or multi-boot kernel under Xen, SCSI improvements, support for USB 2.0 high-speed mice and keyboards, hot-plugging support for XHCI/EHCI/UHCI controllers, Samba 4.1 network support, and many other changes.
