Mozilla Lands VR Support Into Firefox Nightly
Since last week, WebVR support has been present in Firefox Nightly builds for having core VR support to work with devices like the Oculus Rift.
The Firefox Nightly builds now contain WebVR functionality, which is needed for Firefox support of the Oculus Rift VR headset. Though a further step is still required for Oculus Rift support and that's enabling the add-on for the hardware, but in the future the Oculus Rift library will be bundled directly with Firefox or shipped as part of the Oculus Runtime.
Additionally, while the WebVR support is present in nightly Firefox builds, the current plan is to disable the support for beta and release builds of Firefox while still ramping up the WebVR support.
