NVIDIA Releases $15,000 USD Linux-Powered Developer System

Besides NVIDIA announcing yesterday the $999 GeForce GTX TITAN X graphics card that will soon be reviewed under Linux on Phoronix, NVIDIA also announced the Digits DevBox: a $15,000 USD Linux-powered system.

In kicking off their 2015 GPU Tech Conference, NVIDIA announced the Digits DevBox for a price of $15,000 USD as a powerful system to support deep learning research.


This $15,000 research system can handle up to four GeForce GTX Titan X graphics cards, up to 64GB of DDR4 memory, and a plethora of HDD/SSD storage. The system is loaded with Linux and this DevBox is ready out-of-the-box to engage in deep learning. The Linux distribution preloaded is Ubuntu 14.04 LTS.

The NVIDIA DevBox is expected to begin shipping in May. More details at NVIDIA.com.
