NVIDIA Launches The GeForce GTX TITAN X, Linux Tests Coming
NVIDIA officially announced the GeForce GTX Titan X $1000 USD graphics card today to kick off their 2015 GPU Technology Conference.
The GeForce GTX Titan X is a Maxwell-based 28nm graphics card with eight billion transistors! There's 3072 CUDA cores, 12GB of DDR5 video memory, and 7 TFLOPS of single-precision compute power. The GPU Titan X is clocked at 1002MHz for its base frequency and 1089MHz for its Boost frequency.
The appearance of the Titan X meanwhile isn't too different from the past Titan graphics cards.
This graphics card is priced at $999 USD. Fortunately, NVIDIA has sent over the GeForce GTX Titan X for our Linux benchmarking of graphics and compute performance. Sadly though the Titan X didn't arrive in time for today's launch announcement, but it will likely be here tomorrow or so, with the Linux results coming a few days later.
